Sedgrick Marquez Enyart

When Sedgrick was 2 weeks old he had a respiratory/cardiac arrest and pulmonary hemorrhage. The hospital was finally able to get a heart beat after 41 minutes, which left him with severe anoxic encephalopathy (brain damage). He was trached at 3 weeks of age because he was not able to breath on his own he was ventilator dependent for 2 years. He has spastic cerebral palsy, g-tube feed, a boviac, right upper lobe ateletisis, club foot, reactive airway disease, and hyperreflexia. He has been though a whole lot in his little life but with the love of his momma and our family he has made it this far. The meaning of Sedgrick is "A brave soldier," which definitely fits him. I am so glad to see this website I don't know many ppl with handicap children.  Good to know we are not alone.
