Jacob Tyler

Jacob Tyler was born March 3, 2005, with Ompalacel and a lung defect, and heart defect called Tetrology of Fellot (The blue baby syndrome) he also has a Hernia. At first this was very hard on me to see Jacob undergoing so much pain and suffering. Jacob has had two stomach surgeries to close his stomach and one heart surgery, he also had a closed vain after his heart surgery so the doctors then went in to insert a stint to open the vain.

After 5 months of having the breathing tube in his nose and mouth on August the 13th he received his tracheostomy and he is much more relaxed. Now Jacob will have to have his feeding tube inserted into his belly and have his hernia and curved penis corrected along with another stomach surgery to help with his feeding so that he will stop throwing up his formula. As of August 18, 2005, Jacob weighs 15lbs and he is doing very well. He is my miracle baby and I know God has a purpose for his life. I hope Jacob's testimony will help another parent. God is still in the miracle business if we just believe. WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE. God bless you all and keep praying for all the babies miracles.

Update, September 2005:  Jacob had his feeding tube placed in on Tuesday August the 30th he also had his hernia and scrotum corrected he is doing very well. He should be home within the 4-6 weeks I am so excited. I need to ask a question. Does anyone no where I can get someone to donate A generator only for his breathing machine an monitors once he comes home. I am told that the insurance does not cover it and I have six children so my resources are limited?

Update, October 2005:  Jacob was moved to the 7th floor of Children's Medical Center on Sept the 4th, then on Sept the 19th Jacob was transfer to the Children's House of Baylor a rehabilitation center to teach me all the good tricks so that I am prepared when he comes home. I have learned a lot and I am looking for Jacob to come home before Thanksgiving, this will be such a blessing and I am waiting for that day. He is doing great and he looks so well. Thank God for his hands on my child I am so grateful.
