PIERRE ROBIN SEQUENCE - CLEFT PALATE
DAUGHTER TO DENNIE & SHEILA BEAVIN
SISTER TO ETHAN & ALEX BEAVIN

I have taught my friends and family to cherish each day and to not sweat the small stuff! Always remember to enjoy the little things in life: stop and watch the squirrels play, smell the flowers, do not take your loved ones for granted, and most of all, tell the people you care about just how much you love them!! I will leave you with a very special poem -

My Struggle to Breathe
(poem is being published in "On The Wings of Poetry")

It all began that November day, When I started my journey to life to stay.
I struggled to live - well, to breathe, but, life for me, I cannot leave.
My mommy and daddy were excited about me, oh, for the family I had waiting for me.
Who would have known the heart that I had, For everyone, it was, well, quite sad.
But, please don't feel sorry for me, because I love life and breathing you see.
I had a little help, but I still am strong, for my life ahead will last very long.
I am a fighter for all that I have done, This place we call life - well, I have won.
Gaining weight at first was kind of slow, but who would have known where I would go.
I fought and I won, I am here to stay, to live, to breathe, to make the most of each day.
My trach will soon come out and go up on a shelf, and I will be able to breathe - all by myself!!!
