First Christmas
Cole is a 25 week preemie, born Jan 23, 2002. He spent the first 8 months of his life in the hospital. He has BPD, tracheal malasia, severe reflux and duodenum inversum. He lives at home with his mom and sister Alyssa who is 9 months and 5 days younger. (Also a preemie, but completely healthy).
Cole is so developmentally normal he drives the nurses nuts trying to keep him close to the ventilator. Cole is soon to have a major operation; a nissen, g-tube, pyloraplasty, appendectomy and LADD's procedure. But hopefully all this will fix his major reflux issues and allow him to gain the weight needs to get back off the vent. Wish him luck.
