Karla Benko was born 29/04/2002 in Zagreb, Croatia, Europe. She was 4,880 kg and 57 cm. She was born a big healthy girl.

Unfortunately, the doctors made a mistake and she got newborn sepsis (neonati sepsa) with bacteria E. Coli which got into her brain. She got meningitis and encephalitis (abscesescerebri), and from than she has brain damaged. Now she has microcephalia. In the hospital she got newborn sepsis when she was 10 days old and since than she is there on ventilator. Now she is 9 month.

In September she was trached. She is now a big, big girl (12 kg). Karla is not like other children, she is mentally and physically damaged, but I hope we will get some improvement. We hope she will come home soon.
