Nicole was born in 1992. She was 26 5/7 weeks gestation. She lived the first 6 months of her life in the hospital. Diagnosis include Down Syndrome, BPD, ASD, repaired PDA, tracheomalacia, pulmonary hypertension, among others.
She has had her trach since she was 2. Received after a bout with RSV, and another stay in hospital where she couldn't get off the ventilator. She uses bipap at noc, and oxygen during the day.
She is currently in 2nd grade and enjoys competing at special olympics. She is our miracle child.
