Collin Rutledge

Collin was born on August 31, 1996. He began to have breathing problems when he was 4 weeks old and was diagnosed with a massive subglottic hemangioma which eventually obstructed 100% of his airway. Collin has had his trach since he was 10 weeks old.

Today Collin is doing great! We decided not to treat the hemangioma and to trust God to take care of it. Collin is treated by Dr. Robin Cotton at Cincinnati's Childrens Hospital and is expected to get his trach out before the age of 3.

Collin is a very happy baby who can put a smile on anyones face!

  • Update July, 1999 - Collin was decanulated June 29th 1998, following surgery to remove the hemangioma and a LTP by Dr. Robin Cotton at Children's Hospital Medical Center, Cincinnati.
