Barry Frey

Barry was born on July 21, 1992 at 29 weeks gestation. He went through countless pneumonia's, NEC, failure to thrive, J-tubes and G-tubes, a tracheostomy at 5 months (he was intubated and extubated 18 times) and was finally able to come home on a ventilator, O2, apnea monitor, O2 saturation monitor, feeding pump and 24 hour a day nursing care.

Barry is still on his ventilator, O2 when he's sick, G-tube fed, tracheostomy, and he communicates via sign language, because his upper airway has so much scar tissue damage from the intubations.
Barry has a twin brother Drake who has severe spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy, a cortical visual impairment, seizure disorder (under control), and a G-tube.
